  from the Chair of Utah Rising\, Spencer P. Eccles.  Spencer P. Eccles Co
 -Founder and Managing Director The Cynosure Group Prior to co-founding The
  Cynosure Group\, a diversified financial services company\, Spencer serve
 d as the Executive Director of the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic De
 velopment (GOED) and was responsible for statewide business\, tourism and 
 film development\, international trade\, rural economic development\, and 
 the Utah Health Exchange. Spencer has served on numerous private and publi
 c boards\, including chairing the Governor’s Economic Council\, the Utah
  Science Technology and Research (USTAR) initiative\, the STEM Action Cent
 er\, and the Utah Capital Investment Board (UCIB-Utah Fund of Funds). He c
 urrently serves as an advisor to the Salt Lake Chamber where he chairs “
 Utah Rising”\, a 10-year strategic collaborative economic development pl
 an. He also serves on the University of Utah’s David Eccles School of Bu
 siness’s National Advisory Board\, Utah Impact Partnership\, Utah Homele
 ss Services Board\, Alta Ski Lifts Company Board and the Organizing Commit
 tee Board for the 2034 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games. Earlier in his c
 areer\, he also oversaw the premier alpine speed events (Downhill\, Super-
 G\, and Combined) and all alpine Paralympic events for the 2002 Salt Lake 
 Olympic Winter Games. Spencer is the great grandson of David Eccles and Sp
 encer\, his father\, and three sisters as 4th and 5th generation descendan
 ts\, directly manage multiple family foundations. Spencer is an Advisory B
 oard member of the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation and the S
 pencer F. and Cleone P. Eccles Family Foundation. He received his MBA from
  BYU’s Marriott School of Management and a BA in History from the Univer
 sity of Utah.
