Never before in history have women and supportive men from every nation united together to form an ALLIANCE for the purpose of creating and implementing solutions for the world’s greatest challenges - until now.The WOMEN’S GLOBAL ALLIANCE is answering the call sent to the world from leaders at the United Nations
On September 19, 2023, the United Nations Secretary-General, Antonio Guterres warned the General Assembly when he said, “The international community ‘seems incapable of coming together’ to respond to a slew of growing global challenges.” He further warned that the world is inching “ever closer to a great fracture. It’s reform or rupture.”
Dennis Francis, President of the General Assembly said, “These crises are directly impacting the lives and well-being of billions of people around the world.”
The time has come, and women and supportive men worldwide are now stepping forward to take massive, positive, world-changing action.
Women and supportive men in 195 nations are forming the world’s first Women's Global Alliance. This Alliance is designed to collaboratively create and implement solutions to the biggest challenges on earth, identified by the United Nations as the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We are committed to helping improve the lives of humanity in significant, measurable ways by 2030.
MISSION: The mission of the Women’s Global Alliance is to help improve lives throughout the world by creating and implementing solutions to the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Women’s Global Alliance will accomplish their mission in five ways.
The WGA will:
- Help connect, by SDG topic, women and supportive men through their organizations and companies. WGA will then facilitate collaborations as participants create and implement solutions for their specific SDGs.
- Track the mission progress using data that will measure the effectiveness of the Alliance’s efforts to create and implement solutions for the 17 SDGs.
- Host virtual meetings and live regional and international conferences where collaborators will meet one another and attend trainings and discussions about best practices, new ideas and the implementation of SDG solutions.
- Regularly report WGA progress to the United Nations and to UN Women from 2024 to 2030.
- Host an international Women’s Global Alliance event in September 2030, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to celebrate achievements, reward participants, and present a WGA Final Report to the United Nations.
