Greetings Rotarians!!What a busy and wonderful October!! Our Gala Committee continued planning for a successful Distinguished Rotarian Celebration (Gala)- October 17. We were so honored to spend time to celebrate the commitment of our dear Rotarian members- Mike Deputy and Gene Banks. Kudos to the Gala Planning Committee- Led by Tom Thatcher and Joan Sharp with wonderful - in-depth support of our Executive Director Jacqui Voland and Duane Millard, Paul Stringham, Jeff Young, Kristy Walker, Denise Johnson, Paula Fellingham, Chris Davison, Vicky Davison and so many of you that supported set up and take down of the event!! We netted close to $190,000, to support our club and foundation substantially- therefore positively impacting our work and the communities we serve. We have had a couple of changes with our board of directors. With the departure of past president, Spencer Ferguson- the board voted to have previous past presidents- Paul Stringham and Jeff Young share this position and realize the work of our Nominating committee. Also, John Mertens vacated one of our At large board positions and the board approved Mo Sbai to fill this vacancy.
We are looking forward to enhanced focus of our board, committee chairs and you to realize our goals related to Retention, Realistic Recruitment and Recognition. Everyone's engagement and fellowship in our meetings, socials and service are so appreciated. Please invite guests and invite new membership to join in the incredible work of our organization!
I'm also excited for our Holiday party on Dec 2nd and service opportunities in the next couple of months. One of the highlights of my family's holiday is the Sub for Santa opportunity to engage and bring gifts to families who so appreciate what we bring- please join us!!
