President's Message: A New Year Full of Potential for Rotary
Dear Fellow Rotarians,
As we step into the new year, I can’t help but feel a renewed sense of hope and excitement for the opportunities ahead. The beginning of a new year always brings a fresh perspective, a chance to reflect on what we’ve achieved, and more importantly, to set our sights on what we can accomplish together. Our club’s legacy in Salt Lake City, built on over a century of service, continues to be a guiding light for those who share our commitment to making a difference in the world.
As we look forward to 2025, I believe this is our moment to embrace both our proud history and the changes that will carry us forward. Just as a new year brings the possibility of transformation, so too does this moment in our club’s journey. It’s a chance to refocus, revitalize, and continue making a meaningful impact.
With that in mind, here are a few key priorities that will guide us through the year ahead:
We are working on several project that requires two different types of help. Hands on and research.
Firstly, as we clean out the Rotary of Salt Lake City Club Storage shed that has been an additional club expense since closing our offices, we need help reviewing all the paperwork and historical files. To determine what should be shredded, what should be scanned, posted on our site or donated to the Utah State Historical Society. We are one of the oldest organizations in the state.
Secondly, we need help moving out the depreciated items out of the storage shed and disbursing them to agencies who might be able to make use of the equipment. There are some items of value donated in years past that may be of significant value. We need help ascertaining value and removing the storage shed contents.
Lastly, a completely different project, we need help developing a prospect list both corporate and individual to begin outreach to share our message, mission and recruit new members. If you have a passion for research and can help us begin building a list that identifies businesses with like-minded goals and community leaders who would benefit both personally and professionally in becoming a member. I'd love to hear from you. As we move into the new year, we want to begin operationalizing our board and members on our next phase of goals.
Please reach out if you would like to help on any of these three short term projects.
