This is such an exciting time for our Salt Lake City Club!!! I'm hopeful that you and family, friends and others will join you on October 17 for the Celebration of our Distinguished Rotarians, Gene Banks and Mike Deputy. I look forward to connecting with Mayor Mendenhall and many other wonderful attendees- current, past and future Rotarians and friends. We are very fortunate to have many generous sponsors- thank you to Roger Thompson who is our presenting sponsor.
Thanks for the wonderful work of our Gala committee, chaired by Tom Thatcher, with help from Duane Millard, Paul Stringham, Jeff Young, Joan Sharp, Kristy Walker, Denise Johnsen, Paula Fellingham, and Jacqui Voland. Friday, October 17 is going to be a night to remember! 🎉
An evening of elegance, fun, and celebration!
Our club committees have been busy creating posters that highlight all the amazing ways Rotary makes a difference every day. From our global grants to the Acts of Kindness each shares highlights of their work.
Huge thanks to Jeff Young and the Yesco team for bringing this vision to life—we can’t wait for you to see them! You’ll also get to meet members of the Milestone Team and hear firsthand about the incredible success of our youth focused partnership.
The spotlight of the evening shines on our honorees, Gene Banks and Mike Deputy—two outstanding Rotarians whose passion and dedication have touched countless lives. Thanks to BW Productions and Brent Uberty, we’ll also enjoy inspiring videos that share their stories.
Dinner will feature a delicious plated meal of steak and salmon— 🍰✨
And of course… the auctions that make our work possible!
The Gala Committee has secured an amazing lineup of silent and live auction items—something for every budget and every taste. 🌟 From a cozy Minky luxury basket and a cruiser bike in the silent auction, to a stay at the tropical Koloa Landing in Hawaii, a trip to Cambodia with our Sustainable Cambodia team, or an unforgettable night on the town with Donny Osmond during the live auction—there’s truly something for everyone. Sneak a peek at the selections during the reception and learn more on our website.
This evening would not be possible without the generous support of our sponsors and donors. A full list can be found on the registration site, and all will be recognized during the celebration.
Special thanks to Roger Thompson, our presenting sponsor, and to YESCO, AlphaGraphics, and BW Productions for making printing and video production possible.
We can’t wait to celebrate with you—see you there! ✨

Rotary members have contributed more than $2.1 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect nearly 3 billion children in 122 countries from this paralyzing disease. Rotary’s advocacy efforts have played a role in decisions by governments to contribute more than $10 billion to the effort.
