In 2002 the Rotary Club of Salt Lake City, supported efforts to develop and playground for all abilities at Liberty Park. There is a new effort underway to refresh the Rotary Liberty Park Playground as elements of the park have reached end of use and new adaptive playground elements are introduced.

Join us as we hear from Jon Ruedas, the senior landscape architect assigned to the project, about the new plans and the continuation of Rotary Club of Utah's continued involvement.

Jon is a licensed landscape architect with over 17 years of experience across the western United States, including Utah, Colorado, Nevada, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. His diverse background spans both the private and public sectors, having worked in consulting as well as for local government agencies such as Salt Lake County and Salt Lake City.

Jon brings a comprehensive understanding of the full project lifecycle—from funding and planning to project management and implementation. His expertise includes concept development, site master planning, detailed site and irrigation design, construction documentation, and high-quality presentation graphics.

Specializing in recreation and park design, Jon has led projects involving trails, playgrounds, and community and regional parks. His portfolio includes a wide range of recreational amenities, such as splash pads, destination playgrounds, sports fields, plazas, pavilions, public gathering spaces, bike parks, and trail systems.
