Dear Fellow Rotarians,

As we enter this wonderful time of year, we are reminded of the power of community, reflection, and gratitude.
 
Over the next few months, our calendars will fill with meaningful milestones. We have just marked World Polio Day on October 24th, and we are now moving into the warmth of Thanksgiving and culminating in the joy of Christmas and the holiday season. Together, these moments offer us a perfect bridge between being thankful for the blessings in our own lives and stretching out our hands to help others.
 
Gratitude is at the very heart of the Rotary spirit. During Thanksgiving, we pause to appreciate our personal health, our families, and the safety of our communities.
 
But as Rotarians, our gratitude naturally turns into action. This season, we have a profound opportunity to channel that thankfulness into gifts that change the world forever.
 
Our global impact shines brightest in our continued fight to eradicate disease. Because of your historic dedication, we are closer than ever to a polio-free world. While World Polio Day is behind us for the year, our promise to the children of the world remains active. Let us continue our momentum by supporting the PolioPlus fund to finish the job.
 
The upcoming spirit of Christmas and holiday giving also calls us to strengthen our foundation. I encourage each of you to consider a special gift to the Rotary International Annual Fund. Your contributions directly fuel our local and international grants, transforming lives through clean water, education, and economic development. Furthermore, these gifts bring you—or a loved one you choose to honor—closer to achieving or advancing your Paul Harris Fellow recognition. What better holiday gift to give than the legacy of Service Above Self?
 
Thank you for your unyielding generosity, your leadership, and your dedication to our club. Let us make this season one of profound gratitude and historic giving.

  • June 6 - Time to Register for the Inter-Club BBQ - The plans are coming together for our inter-club BBQ. Members from clubs across the Salt Lake Valley are starting to register. If you'd like to volunteer for set up that morning, please reach out to Kristy. Thanks to Chris Lake and Lux Catering for helping us with all the side items for the BBQ and Mike Delzotti for providing the meats and leading the BBQ competition.

If you have ideas for future social or service events, we’d love to hear them. Our goal is to increase engagement and get the Rotary Club of Salt Lake City back out into the community—living and sharing our message of Service Above Self.

Club 24 Scholarships and Education

May 5th was a day of celebration and recognition for the club as we welcomed our 2026 cohort of scholarship recipients and invited our Franklin Elementary mentoring program students to join us for lunch.

Career Day at Franklin Elementary

Career Day and Franklin Elementary - The Salt Lake Rotary Club brought back a long-standing tradition at Franklin Elementary on Thursday, April 16, 2026. This Career Day program, a pre-COVID service project, saw club members and colleagues present to fifth and sixth graders. The event was well attended, with over 100 students participating in five separate sessions.
