Thanks in large part to South Salt Lake's Mural Fest, the city has blossomed into an outdoor gallery of exciting murals by local and international artists.  What better way to experience this creative explosion than a walking tour conducted by Leslie Allen to visit the murals of the Creative Industries Zone?  You will learn about the mural process, including how artists are selected, the techniques they use to paint large-scale works, and fun facts about key muralists.  There is so much more to it than just painting walls.

Olive Oil Tasting
Sep. 25, 2026 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

You're invited to an evening of discovery as we welcome a local olive oil  sommelier for a fun and informative exploration of one of nature's greatest superfoods!  You'll learn why olive oil is such a smart choice for your health, where it comes from,  how it's produced, and how to select  and store the right variety at home.    The highlight of the evening?  . A blind taste test comparing premium, high-quality oils with those you typically find at your local grocery store--the results might just surprise you!.

David Waldman and Bryn Morris have  graciously opened their home for this special evening, with space for just 20 guests, so be sure to register early to secure your spot..

Following Kun Covington's presentation,  we'll keep the good times going with a lovely spread including a charcuterie tray, French bread for dipping, a couple of delicious salads, and an assortmenmt of beverages ranging from sodas to wine to complement the evening.

Register early to ensure your participation. Cost is $45/person.  Once registered, your on-file card with the Rotary Office will be charged, appearing on your monthly Rotary statement.  No refunds after registration closes on September 7th, 2026.

Christmas Stocking Stuffers
Oct. 14, 2026 5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

The women of Rotary are invited to Franci Gilmore's home on October 14, 2026, Wednesday, from 5:30 pm to 7 pm.  We will be stuffing Christmas stockings for Native American children who are located on four reservations througout Utah.  This is in connection to the Adopt a Native Elder program.  We anticipate stuffing 72 stockings for both boys and girls, preschool ages 4-6 years, and boys and girls ages 6-8.   We have a budget this year to cover the cost of the stocking items, so Franci and Judy have already been preparing for our event.

Franci's address is 165 South Skycrest Lane, SLC, Ut.  Phone:  801-243-1733, or Judy Fang, 801-.556-0943,   A light dinner will be served afterwards.  Please RSVP with the link below.  10 volunteers are needed.

Dine Around
Oct. 26, 2026 6:30 p.m. - Oct. 30, 2026 6:30 p.m.

One of our most popular social events has been the Dine Around.  This is a great way to become better acquainted with each other and our spouses in a small group setting for dinner at a hosting, Rotarians home.

Good News!!   Several Host Homes have been identified for this exciting event.

The host/hostess this year were given a flexible option of choosing a night during the week of Oct 26-30th that best fit their schedule.   This event will be in lieu of our normal Tuesday luncheon meeting.. Cost is $40/person.  Registration cutoff will be October 15, 2026.  Cancellations may not be considered after this date.

If you have ever wondered whether Don Weakley has ever worn mismatched socks to Rotary, or if Nick washes his  lucky football socks, or whether the great Wizard, Scott Leckman,  gets his weekly questions from AI, join us for dinner and get answers to these deep questions.    Organizing this fun event are Karmeen Kulkarni, 801-574-5731 and  Cindy Fullmer, 801-907-1747  Please click below to register.  Spouses/Partners welcome.  Once all registrations have been received, Karmeen and Cindy will let you know in which home you will be dining.

If you have an evening that will not work in your schedule, E-mail Karmeen:  Kdev.kul22@gmail.com or Cindy Fullmer:  cindysells4u@yahoo.com so that they can match you with a home that will work for you.
